Ok Gym goers here are my top tips for shredding fat and toning up:
• Perform resistance training at least twice a week. You will never firm your body on a treadmill or bike.
•Perform the resistance training with very high intensity for no more than 30 minutes. If you train longer than that you’re going too slow and wasting your time.
• Forget traditional cardio it’s pointless, instead perform 10 x 60m sprints twice to three times a week. It’ll take you about 8-10 minutes a session. Less time but more productive, don’t believe me try it!!
• Eliminate carbs for the first two weeks of your new healthy eating plan, you’ll find out quickly how addicted you are to carbs. After 2 weeks slowly add carbs back into your meals. Your body is probably too sensitive to carbs and your body utilises them for fat storage. The first 3 days are brutal but worth it in the long run.
• Eat 4-5 meals a day ‘from the land’ meaning animal protein and above the ground vegetables.
• Drink at least 2 litres of water a day but aim for 4.
That’s it, follow it and amazing results can only happen. There is no magic diet or gimmicky fitness equipment that will provide results that last. It’s your choice now.
